What is SonicCraft?

SonicCraft is an adventure map which comes with 3 resource packs to be used with the map. The map and textures are based around the first four Sonic games for the Sega Mega Drive/ Sega Genesis (Sonic the Hedgehog, Sonic the Hedgehog 2, Sonic the Hedgehog 3, Sonic and Knuckles). The map and Texture Pack have been in production since July 2011.

SonicCraft is heavily under construction, and will not be finished for a few months. Currently, the levels from Sonic 1, Sonic 2, Sonic 3 and Sonic and Knuckles are complete, and there are 5 ‘special’ levels that are yet to be completed.

SonicCraft consists of a map and three resource packs, it’s not just a map and it’s not just a set of resource packs. You may use the resource packs whenever you want, but if you make your own Sonic map you must create your own resource packs; I do not approve of people using my resource packs in their own Sonic maps.

  5. I can’t place the levers in the zones because of changes made to Adventure mode, so I’m stuck in Green Hill Zone and I can’t progress. I was super excited to play this, I had watched all of Setosorcerer’s videos on the Adventure map a couple years back when I didn’t have Minecraft, but now that I do, I can’t even play it.

I’ve tried playing this on earlier versions of Minecraft, but almost every one crashes the game when I try to boot it up. And even if I did get it to work, the change would’ve probably already been made. I’ve tried recreating the world and giving myself the ability to use cheats, but then it drops me in some random spot in the world and I doubt I’ll ever find the map.

I’ve got nothing against the creator of this map, what he’s created is amazing and I even tried to make my own version a little while back (It didn’t turn out good). It’s Mojang/Microsoft that I have something against, they’re the ones who program the game and made the change that probably affected thousands of Adventure maps.
