Hello everyone, and welcome to this brand new map! Adrift is an ocean challenge map inspired by some of the great challenge maps that are out there such as Survival Island, etc. This map is very fair and has novel starting conditions. It starts off with you aboard a boat as the sole survivor after a mysterious and calamitous disaster. You are unable to sail the boat by yourself, so you have to find a way to survive with no land or sand in near sight. The goal of this challenge map is up to you. It is your choice on how to play and the way you want it to be played.
These are the do’s and do not’s of this map :
Do :
- Resources are very important – Manage your resources carefully. Certain resources cannot be found naturally due to a lack of dry land.
- Explore beneath the ocean floor – There is a chance of treasure being there, so expect the unexpected
- Use the captain’s log when indicated – The adventurer’s log contains entries which may give clues to help you locate special features.
Do not:
- Use modifications which assist you in mapping, or modifying the game map
- Stray from the game area – The map has been built primarily inside a box of 128 by 128 blocks. The boundaries of this box are marked by cobblestones floating one unit above the water level.
- Play on peaceful mode
How to Install 4 Pillar Challenge Map for Minecraft 1.2.5
- The save file is distributed in a zip file
- You must first extract it in a directory of your choosing by right clicking and selecting “Extract Here”.
- Next, you must take the Adrift folder and rename it to a World folder (“World1″, World2″, etc).
- You may overwrite a saved game, so take care to back up anything you want to keep.
