NiftyCraft adds a ton of cool new features to Minecraft and many of them you might actually wonder why they aren’t built in! Some of the new additions are simple, but extremely useful, such as texture pack switching from the in game menu (instead of having to exit to the main menu) and even creating a new world while in your current game. There are six new blocks; solar panel, lunar panel, rain detector, hay stack, fire starter and portable house blocks. The solar panels and lunar panels work like day and night detectors, making useful automatic door closing for night time fortresses or even a way to automate farming even more. Hay stacks allow for no fall damage, like you might imagine a real haystack would (at least from movies!) Fire starters act like fire places or even mob traps. The portable house is like going camping and having a shelter with you at all times! There is so much more with this mod,
