UseCount was originally made by Coolblinger, he has announced that he will not be continuing the mod, and so it has been passed to me to continue and maintain.
UseCount is a simple mod that adds a counter above the durability bar of an item showing the remain uses of the item.
Installation:
Windows
- 1. Navigate to your .minecraft folder located at %APPDATA%\roaming\.minecraft.
- 2. Locate your minecraft.jar and open it using an archiving program like WinRar or 7Zip.
- 3. Download Minecraft Forge and UseCount 2.
- 4. Open the Minecraft Forge .zip and place the contain files inside the minecraft.jar, overriding all files.
- 5. Open UseCount 2.zip and place all contained files inside the minecraft.jar, overriding bbt.class.
- 6. Delete the META-INF folder.
Mac
- 1. Navigate to your minecraft folder located at /users/[username]/Library/Application Support/minecraft.
- 2. Locate your minecraft.jar and open it using an archiving program like BetterZip.
- 3. Download Minecraft Forge and UseCount 2.
- 4. Open the Minecraft Forge .zip and place the contain files inside the minecraft.jar, overriding all files.
- 5. Open UseCount 2.zip and place all contained files inside the minecraft.jar, overriding bbt.class.
- 6. Delete the META-INF folder.
MultiMC
- 1. Create an instance if you have not already.
- 2. Launch the instance to download the Minecraft packages.
- 3. Right Click on the instance and click "Edit Mods".
- 4. Download Minecraft Forge and UseCount 2.
- 5. Add both Minecraft Forge and UseCount 2.zips to the minecraft.jar tab, ensure UseCount 2 is place after Minecraft Forge in the load order.
- 6. Click Ok and Launch the instance to install the mods and play.
