Minecraft is an amazingly fun game to play with little problems, but sometimes there are just those small little things that would be so nice to have in the game. Perhaps you’re waiting for Mojang to add them to the game? Well that could happen but it’s not very likely. I’d suggest taking a look at Bam’s Expander mod for 1.4.6
Bam’s expander adds three almost essential things to minecraft. The first one is known as lumberjack. This feature allows you to fully fell a tree with the swing of an axe. The way it works is that if you break a wooden log, all the logs above it will break also. This allows way faster tree cutting and also an extremely more realistic way to do it. Of course, in the real life trees don’t float. Well with Bam’s Expander they don’t float in minecraft either! The next feature is editable signs. This allows you to edit the text on a sign by just right clicking. I think we can all agree that it’s extremely frustrating to wrongly type in text on a sign and then place it just to realise you’ve gotta do it all over again. I personally think editable signs should be added to vanilla minecraft, as it’s a small feature but an essential. The third feature is craftable flint. That’s pretty self explanatory.
Bam’s Expander is one of those tiny little mods that can make a much more fun and immersing minecraft experience. I personally think that Bam’s Expander should be required if you know about. Three little additions, three big differences. I highly recommend you check out Bam’s Expander.
