Angry when Mojang promised new and exciting mobs but instead they gave us the big nose Testificates and jungle cats? Well, this brilliant mod by StarshadesJack gives the current mobs in the game some improvements and even adds one new mob! It does things like make the aggressive mobs harder and the passive mobs more realistic. The mod will certainly make the game a lot more challenging, good for the hardcore adventure type!
New Tricks:
Passive mobs
- All passive mobs will eat grass in the same manner as sheep do. This will replenish 1 heart of health.
Hostile Mobs
- All hostile mobs are buffed up! They have twice as much health!
Zombies
- Getting hit by a Zombie on Normal or Hard difficulty will inflict the Hunger de-buff! (Makes your hunger go down quicker for a period of time)
Skeletons
- Skeletons will fire twice as fast!
- They are scared of Wolfs now! They will run away from wolves much like the Creepers cat-phobia.
Creepers
- Creepers will now explode when set on fire!
- Creepers will only explode a third of their normal power in water.
- They’re scared of water! They will try and stay away from it.
- On hard difficulty they will no longer be scared of cats.
- On hard difficulty creepers can explode without being provoked at random!
- On Normal and Hard difficulty creepers can detonate upon fall damage.
- Powered up Creepers can now spawn naturaly.
Cave Spiders
- Their poison will last twice as long on Normal and Hard difficulty.
- They will no longer take any fall damage what so ever!
Zombie Pigmen
- Getting hit by one on Normal and Hard difficulty will inflict Hunger.
Endermen
- No Buff but they have a 50% mini buff on normal and hard difficulty.
Spiders
- Spiders will no longer take any fall damage!
Ender Nymph!
The new little mob that Better Than Testificates add! This little guy will act just like an EnderMan but with one difference. They will hit you once and poison you with either: Nausea, weakness, slowness or Mining Fatigue. The will not pick up blocks (because they’re so small!) Luckily they only have one heart and can be killed in one hit with a sword.
So, that’s the mod! I personally think it’s a great mod for any hardcore players that want a little bit more of a challenge! It definitely does make the game a lot harder! A job well done by StarshadesJack!
How to Install Better than Testificates Mod for Minecraft 1.2.5
- Download and Install Modloader.
- Download Better Than Testificates.
- Drag all the files in the folder into into your minecraft.jar:
- Put the .zip inside your mods folder.
- Run minecraft and enjoy!
