Ever gone down, mining for HOURS on end and you find a dungeon. So you get prepared. You put on your fancy diamond armor and prepare your sword of death. You break in screaming your war chant, to find 3 zombies, you slay them easily and destroy the spawner. Even though you get the epic loot, you feel slightly disappointed in the difficultly of the challenge.
Well i’m here to tell you about a mod that will change all that! The new dungeons mod adds a new difficultly to the game, while fitting into the normal gameplay. Instead of the small, cramped, and boring dungeons you know, this mod upgrades them majorly. It makes them bigger, more challenging and more! With several rooms, more monsters, and more LOOT. To add to the experience, the torches here arn’t normal. They have “dim torch”s, which looks exactly like the orginal torch, but it is much dimmer (never would have guessed, would ya?) You can make this into a normal torch though in two ways.
This upgrades the dungeon system in a epic way! Not only is it good for thoughs hardcore minecrafters, but it gives the game a new difficulty it lacked before. I do suggest getting this mod, it seems like a excellent addition to the game.
This mod does have planned features, such as more options, more dungeon types (maybe themes? Wouldn’t that be cool!) In the next update it says it will most likely have Maze dungeons, to get lost in forever!
How To Install New Dungeons Mod for Minecraft 1.3.1
- Download the New Dungeons Mod
- Download ModLoader, ModLoaderMP, and Minecraft ForgeAPI
- Open the minecraft.jar with 7zip or winzip
- Move the mods files from the mod into the minecraft.jar
- Delete that silly META INF folder that nobody likes
- Have fun with this EPIC mod!
