In Minecraft you are in a somewhat anarchist society, a lonely one to boot, since you gather things for yourself, you craft things in your own and give back to the land or perhaps leave it destroyed. PovertyCraft changes a lot of the mechanics in Minecraft to where instead of gathering resources just to build with these same resources, its as if you are working a job as a hunter / gatherer in order to sell your goods. You can exchange these goods for cash, and the more you sell together, the more they (an unknown entity perhaps) will pay you! You now only can break certain blocks with certain tools, giving Minecraft more of a realistic feel instead of just being a burly rock and tree punching man. You start out gathering seeds and flowers and you slowly work your way up from there, making the entire experience a much more in depth and different one. The coolest part is you can buy what you need from anywhere, so no more mindless exploring just to find what you need.
